We involve individuals and the community in social and cultural life. We recruit volunteers and accelerate the ecological and solidarity-based transition.
- 20 cultural events in 10 weeks
In the summer of 2024, our community venue’s garden, Le Jardin Hors du Temps (“Garden Out of Time”), hosted 18 cultural events. These included a film screening, 14 concerts — both orchestral and solo virtuoso performances — covering a wide range of musical styles (French chanson, Eastern European melodies, klezmer, Argentine tango, oriental, jazz, soul, classical works and international hits), as well as 3 DJ nights. In a unique way, on two occasions, we broadcasted live sports events on a large screen for the local audience (Olympic Games, Football World Cup).
- Programs for Children, Families, and Sports Activities
We organized treasure hunts, set up a “barefoot path,” hosted the village drawing workshop, installed swings, and provided opportunities for children to play ball and wooden games while their parents chat or relax.
For sports enthusiasts, we installed pull-up bars, offered rope climbing, table tennis, and the yoga course proved to be very popular.
- Residency Programs for creators
The individual and group programs aim to bring participants closer to themselves and to one another, fostering the organic development of artistic creations. We have offered residencies to sculptors, filmmakers, graphic designers, actors and photographers. The program continues.
- In the Spirit of Sustainable Development
Guests of the Garden Out of Time participated in a presentation and tasting of Hungarian natural wines. We planted raspberry bushes, pear trees, lettuce, onions, aromatic herbs from southern France, and of course, we compost. The space is exclusively furnished with second-hand furniture (even salvaged from waste disposal sites), which we restored ourselves or crafted with the help of our skilled volunteers.
